Refund, Rescheduling & Delivery Policy
At Jordan’s Catering, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and clear communication. The following outlines our policies on cancellations, changes, delivery, and service expectations to ensure mutual clarity and fairness for both parties.
1. Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your event catering service, the following conditions apply based on the notice period:
- 7 days or more before the event: 100% refund of any deposits or payments made.
- 3–6 days before the event: 50% refund of the total amount.
- Less than 72 hours before the event: No refund will be issued due to preparation and ingredient procurement costs already incurred.
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method originally used, within 7 business days.
2. Custom Orders & Special Ingredients
Orders requiring imported, customized, or specialty ingredients may be subject to non-refundable fees, even in the event of cancellation, depending on supplier terms and ingredient perishability. These costs will be discussed transparently before confirmation.
3. Rescheduling
If you need to change the date of your event, please notify us at least 5 days in advance. We will make every effort to accommodate your new date, subject to availability. Rescheduling less than 72 hours before your event may incur a rebooking or loss-of-preparation fee.
4. Force Majeure
In the case of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, public emergencies, power outages), we will attempt to reschedule your event or offer a fair partial refund depending on the situation. Such instances will not be considered a contractual breach.
5. Delivery Policy
5.1 Delivery Area
We deliver across Johannesburg and surrounding suburbs. Extended areas may incur additional fees and are subject to availability.
5.2 Delivery Times
- All deliveries are coordinated directly with the client prior to the event.
- We request a 1-hour delivery window to allow for traffic and unforeseen delays.
- For events, we typically deliver 1–2 hours before scheduled start time unless otherwise agreed upon.
5.3 Delivery Fees
- Within 10 km radius: Free
- 15–30 km radius: Fee based on distance and order size
- Beyond 30 km: Quote provided upon request
6. Receiving Orders
- A responsible person must be present to receive and sign for the delivery.
- Please inspect all items upon delivery. Any concerns must be reported immediately to allow for swift resolution.
7. Set-Up Services
- Basic delivery includes drop-off only, unless specified otherwise.
- Full table setting and serving staff are available upon request and may incur additional charges. These services must be booked in advance.
